The Search for Madeleine McCann: No Stone Unturned?

If you don't know that Madeleine McCann disappeared from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on the evening of May 3rd 2007, you have probably just wakened from a coma.

This blog post is about the search for Madeleine and the money that has flowed into the fund that was set up soon after Madeleine disappeared and where that money has gone.

According to The McCann Files, lawyers for the McCanns arrived in Portugal on May 11th 2007, just 8 days after Madeleine vanished into thin air, to discuss the setting up of the "fighting fund," (fighting what?) which was incorporated on May 15th, after lawyers had approached the Charities Commission on May 14th and been told that the fund could not be registered as a charity because it's intended purpose was to help one individual. Madeleine's fund "Leaving No Stone Unturned," had received over a million pounds within a few short months.

The fund was incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee with the following
